Bikepacking Digital-Detox Camp-out, San Rafael Swell, UT
UNPLUG TO CONNECT
3 days & 3 nights
Apr 23rd (7pm) - 26th (noon)
Wednesday - Saturday
-
Unplugged provides the support vehicle, meals, guided route, bike support, good sleep conditions, beautiful campsites, group cohesion, proper relaxation & amenities so that you simply show up and connect deeper with your crew, yourself & the rugged terrain we’ll be traversing.
-
Having earned your miles, laughed a lot & explored new terrain— you will leave with lifelong memories, genuine experiences, and as closer friends than when you started.
-
With as much saddle time as your legs desire, this screen-less adventure is a powerful digital detox to relax and regenerate. You leave feeling lighter, with more energy and joy to bring home to your family, friends & work.
-
Support vehicle to carry your gear, 3 meals, opening & closing ceremony, expert guides & guided route, bike support, tent & sleeping pad, river-dip coldplunge, 1 custom jersey, camp fire, games, 1 surprise gift, supportive container of safety & belonging, logistics & copious amounts of La Croix.
-
We bike from camp to camp— 75 miles (over 4 days) along a jaw-dropping desert loop— sandstone cliffs, ice cold creeks, petroglyphs, mining ruins & good peeps galore.
The bike is our tool to connect, have fun, and spend quality time with the crew.
Day 1: 26 miles, Day 2 (option of 15 or 35 miles), Day 3: 16 miles — CLICK HERE FOR SPECIFIC ROUTE DETAILS
-
Hard tail mountain bike. Full suspension (cross country) mtn bikes are great too. We do not recommend rigid gravel bikes unless you’re an experienced gravel rider prepared for jostling.
-
There will be 2 main ride groups: 1) The Cruisers— leisurely paced, enjoyable cruise. This group leaves camp first, soaks in the scenery, and goes the pace of the “cruisiest rider” 2) The Hammerheads— expected to be self-sufficient, this group rides as hard as you want with options to add extra miles. The Hammerheads leave camp after the Cruisers and will look to catch and ride with them at some point throughout the day.

ABOUT THE ROUTE
-
When we ride with friends it offers us the space to check-in with ourselves, each other, our habits & our lifestyle. The result is better friendship and more energy to bring back to our family and work.
-
Both incredibly profound and stupidly simple, this recipe has been battle tested for millennia.
-
Our job is to get out of the way and allow the rugged landscape to do it’s thing. Laughter, light-heartedness and joy guaranteed.
Maria, Unplugged Group Adventure, 2024
“Before the adventure we were nervous about our crew’s ability to complete the ride. But we were open, excited and prepared to experience discomfort.
Now we feel capable, strong, grounded, seen, held, supported, valued and our crew is stronger than ever. The adventure brought us back to an inner knowing that family and friends are most important; that we need to make time for one another; and that playfulness is never far away.”
Let nature do the work

Meals are nourishing, hearty & well deserved
“Sleeping in tents & grounding our feet in the dirt are features, not flaws.”
— Brooklyn, Unplugged Adventure 2022
